Deidra Mills Ryan, CPA founded DMR Accounting & Consulting - Solutions for Conscious Business, a Texas CPA firm, in 2008 out of a desire to provide clients with non-traditional CPA firm specialized care in their day to day operations.

Deidra enjoys supporting clients with knowledge to run their businesses, finances and technology more efficiently and effectively with chief financial officer (CFO) expertise. Her specialties include simplifying accounting processes and training / mentoring business owners and managers as well as accounting staff ranging from bookkeepers to accountants to controller and CFO level staff.

Deidra has worked with a variety of for-profit and non-profit clients including professional service providers, multi-million dollar construction and civil engineering companies, retail, restaurant and many local business clients, trade associations and foundations whose annual budgets range from $25,000 to $75,000,000. more

Kyle Ryan is a results oriented IT professional who has worked in IT for over 10 years. He has worked on projects for several industry leaders. Some of the projects involved:

Converting an existing green screen application for a major pharmaceutical into a dynamic web application using Spring and Hibernate on the back end and ExtJS on the front end.
Automating an existing manual order management process, using EDI and BizTalk 2006. The result of the automation significantly reduced manual input errors and freed three data entry people to focus on other aspects of the business. more

Deidra has extensive experience working with clients that use a wide range of accounting software and assisting them with day-to-day operations, staff supervision as well as implementation and design of accounting processes and reporting requirements. Deidra also worked as a Controller for a technology company where she established and managed an accounting staff in both Austin, Texas and Laguna Hills, California building on 20 plus years of accounting experience.

Deidra is a former board member and past board vice president, board treasurer, executive and finance committee member of the non-profit YouthLaunch which helps young people make a difference in their lives by making a difference in their community. She is an active member of eWomen Network Chairman's Circle, Business+Balance Austin and Inspire Living Well. Deidra has also been an active community donor / volunteer with the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Park, Lance Armstrong Foundation, Austin Habitat for Humanity, Austin Lyric Opera, Austin Symphony, Blanton Museum of Art, Austin Humane Society, Delta Zeta Sorority and Catalyst 8 which supports the Long Center for the Performing Arts.

Professionally, Deidra is member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and is a QuickBooks ProAdvisor.

Most importantly, Deidra has a beautiful daughter and a loving and supportive husband that are the inspirations and loves of her life. She also adores her three furry children, a black Labrador retriever and two short haired kitty cats.
